The study validates the European Hernia Society classification for parastomal hernias (PH) by analyzing 160 cases at a single center. It demonstrates that this classification effectively categorizes PH, essential for surgical planning and anticipating complications. Findings reveal a high incidence of complex type III and IV hernias, emphasizing increased complication rates in these cases. This evaluation offers significant insight into enhancing patient outcomes through standardized management approaches and paves the way for further research in PH treatment.
