Use of S-O Clips Reduces Procedure Time in Gastric ESD

S-O Clips Improve Gastric ESD Efficiency and Resection Rates

In a retrospective analysis of 290 patients with early gastric neoplasms, the use of spring-and-loop clips (S-O clips) in endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) significantly reduced procedure time (44.4 vs 61.1 minutes, p<0.001) and improved complete resection rates (97.9% vs 92.6%, p<0.05) compared to cases without the clip. Notably, trainees benefitted most, with reduced procedure time (40.8 vs 61.1 minutes, p<0.05). This technique enhanced outcomes for both experienced and less experienced endoscopists.
