Prehabilitation may improve outcomes for gastric cancer surgery patients

Evidence is being gathered on the potential benefits of prehabilitation for patients undergoing gastric cancer surgery. This systematic review and meta-analysis will investigate the impact of trimodal prehabilitation, including exercise, nutrition, and psychological support, on reducing postoperative complications and enhancing recovery. The study will focus on key outcomes such as complication rates, hospital stay duration, mortality, readmission rates, and functional recovery. Results will be derived from existing randomized controlled trials and cohort studies published in various databases.
