Tumor-Stroma Ratio Accurately Predicts Peritoneal Metastasis in Gastric Cancer

Analysis reveals a strong correlation between tumor-stroma ratio (tsr) and peritoneal metastasis (pm) in gastric cancer patients. The study included 640 patients across several cohorts, establishing a diagnostic model integrating tsr with CA125, CA724, and Borrmann type. The model demonstrated robust predictive capabilities, achieving an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.85 in the training cohort and 0.73 in external validation. Ultimately, tsr serves as a critical marker for diagnosing pm in gastric cancer.
