Pylorus Preservation in SG + LoopDJB Reduces Hypoalbuminemia Compared to OAGB

One anastomosis gastric bypass (OAGB) and sleeve gastrectomy with loop duodenojejunal bypass (SG + LoopDJB) demonstrate similar weight loss, type 2 diabetes remission, and lipidemia improvements at 1 year post-operation. OAGB presents higher hypoalbuminemia but lower gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms compared to SG + LoopDJB. Pylorus preservation in SG + LoopDJB may reduce hypoalbuminemia risk, despite longer operative times and lengths of stay.
