Health policies in Cameroon predominantly focus on maternal and neonatal care, with limited attention to health financing. Stakeholders like civil society organizations and private entities support these policies. The Cameroonian Ministry of Public Health is a significant funder of surgery, obstetrics, trauma, and anesthesia (SOTA) care. 59 out of 136 policies and events mention SOTA-related interventions, emphasizing governance, infrastructure, and service delivery. To reduce the SOTA burden, future policies should enhance neglected areas while leveraging existing strengths to achieve global and national health targets by 2030.
