Analysis of 10,977 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma and liver-only metastases revealed that those undergoing primary tumor resection combined with liver metastasectomy experienced significantly longer median overall survival (18.6 months) compared to non-surgical treatment (6.5 months). The study indicates that surgical resection, especially in highly selected patients with favorable biology, is associated with improved survival outcomes. Adjusted hazard ratios affirmed the enhanced benefit of the combined surgical approach over other treatment options.
