Effective Bowel Preparation Quality for Colonoscopy: Comparing 1L-PEG to 2L-PEG and Picosulphate

Sleeve Gastrectomy VS Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass in Bariatric Surgery

Effect of Time to Operation on Mortality Risk in Elderly Patients with Intestinal Fistula

Delayed surgical intervention of more than three days in elderly patients diagnosed with intestinal fistula significantly increases the risk of mortality, with nearly double the length of hospital stay compared to earlier surgical groups. Mortality rates were notably higher in patients with delayed surgeries, emphasizing the importance of timely operative treatment to minimize mortality risk in this vulnerable population. Impact of Surgeon Gender on Postoperative Mortality

Risk Factors for Anastomotic Leak After Esophagectomy

Comparison of Intestinal Perfusion Using ICG and MB Imaging

Real-time assessment of bowel perfusion using methylene blue and indocyanine green was successful in a porcine model, with MB showing a stronger correlation with local lactate levels compared to ICG. Effects of Esophagectomy on Weight Loss and Glycolipid Profile in Type 2 Diabetes Patients

Esophagectomy induces weight loss and improves glucose and lipid metabolism in type 2 diabetes patients. Both diabetic and non-diabetic groups experience similar reductions in weight and BMI post-surgery. Fasting plasma glucose levels decrease significantly in the diabetic group, while HDL levels increase in the non-diabetic group. TG, LDL, and TC levels decrease significantly in both groups. Further research is needed to understand the underlying mechanisms of these changes.
